We have been learning all about dinosaurs in Orange and Lemon Class. The children have enjoyed playing with the dinosaurs in the sand and were excited to use the magnifying glasses to take a closer look at the dinosaurs.
We have been practicing our fine motor skills by rolling the playdough to create our own dinosuar models.
The children have really enjoyed using the paintbrushes and the different materials to decorate the BIG dinosaurs.
Take a look at all of our amazing learning!!
As part of our ‘Monsters and Dinosaurs’ topic, we have been listening to the stories ‘Harry and the Dinosaurs Go To School’ and ‘Where The Wild Things Are’.
The role play area has been transformed into a forest where the ‘WILD THINGS ARE’ and the children have been using their imaginations to retell the story, and think about different ways in which the story might end. We worked together to build our own boat and talked about how we could use the ore’s to make the boat move.
We have been learning all about floating and sinking, the children have been investigating and making predictions as to which objects might float and sink and talking about why…
The children have really enjoyed learning all about friendships and had great fun choosing their buddies and sharing their experiences during circle time.
We are enjoying welcoming our parents into the Nursery for our weekly open days, the parents are enjoying spending time in the classrooms and finding out all about the amazing learning experiences that their children engage in.
